All new here Jared Houston, is a fourth generation master carpenter and entrepreneur by trade. So in 2021 after constantly being asked by friends and family to build them something special, he decided to make a business out of his hobby. And today, indivisible hardwoods and creative customs is a very successful business in Scottsdale. So Ian is out there showing us around this huge showroom. I can’t wait to see what he does.

Ian: Oh, yeah, do you know what this is Scott Well, yeah, you know the old dagger to the heart right there? It looks medieval, like it’s from the Game of Thrones. No, silly. It’s a lathe chisel. Check it out. This is the guts of the operation here at indivisible hardwoods and custom creations. And man, do they have so many cool things in here. This is where all the action and magic happens, where they are doing the drilling, where they are doing the sanding, and all the other amazing things. And if you are looking for like a custom wood, this is it. Jared is joining me this morning. This place is awesome.

Jarod: I appreciate it.

Ian: Yeah, you can go to any box store and get this type of wood, that type of wood, but you guys really have woods from exotics.

Jarod: Correct. We have woods from all over the world. This is actually a part, excuse me, a piece of my personal collection that I’ve accumulated over the last five or six years, traveling all over, picking up the rarities, the true exotics that nobody else in town has or even dreams of carrying because they’ve never seen it before, to be honest.

Ian: You told me earlier that a lot of folks are kind of doing home Reno projects. You know, folks don’t want to sell their home because the rates are so high and this and that you’re getting a lot of calls of folks trying to fix interiors. What have you noticed out there?

Jarod: Well, they want to integrate live edge exotic woods into their existing spaces to kind of breathe new life into it, and this place gives them just a plethora of opportunity that you don’t find anywhere else.

Ian: What should a consumer look for, if they’re looking for, like a good piece of wood for a table and stuff like that?

Jarod: Well, they should come here and talk with either speak with either myself or my general manager, Brett. He is extremely knowledgeable in all the various exotics we carry, as well as the as well as the domestics we carry. And we would be able to guide any consumer down the right path to find the right material for the job.

Ian: That’s fantastic. Thank you so much. They got it all. They got power tools. They have super local, hyper custom stuff. This AX that has Arizona flag right on it. This thing is sharp as all get up. They even have rich mahogany, if you’re looking for it. And this is my favorite part. Check it out. Scott, oh, looks like a drawer, huh? No big deal. Oh, what’s this? Oh, what’s this? Hidden? There you go. Put your stash there, or a weapon, or whatever. A little secret drawer. There little James Bond action. They can do that for you if you’re looking for.

Scott: I bet it smells really good in there with all that wood.

Ian: The money smells better than.
